Working 9 to 5 in a cubicle and spending my days debating whether or not to hyphenate a compound modifier can leave me in the dark about the quests of other Deals Magazine employees. As you can imagine, it was a bit of a shock when I discovered that (gasp!) there are some employees whose idea of a lunch break doesn’t include the small deli on the first floor of our office building. It was about time I spoke with an Account Executive for Deals Magazine. That’s where Cisco Diaz came in.
Cisco’s personal mantra is ‘keep your eyes on the prize,’ and he embodies this mentality every day. As an Account Executive, Cisco’s days include visiting Deals Magazine’s vendors and spreading the word about Deals Magazine’s awesome services. But who’s the man behind the mag? A few fun facts about Cisco:
- He’s the man to talk to if you’re craving a Mexican skirt steak. This closet cook spent ten years as a chef cooking up delicious meals in Lima, Peru.
- He’s also a great guy to talk to if you’re looking for spiritual guidance. As a pro-bono life coach and involved church member, Cisco spends a good amount of his time helping others realize their spiritual and life goals.
- He’s a family man. Cisco is a great dad to three kids: Olin, Ytai and Elijah. He’s also a doting fiancé to the beautiful Marilyn Chavez.
- He’s well-read. His favorite authors include Victor Villaseñor and Zig Ziglar.
Next time you see your friendly neighborhood AE, pull him or her aside and start a conversation! I’m sure there are plenty of other interesting things to know about Cisco, but there’s one thing that’s certain: he keeps his eyes on the prize.
