Halloween is here once again and stores are introducing pumpkin-flavored everything as armies of children gear up to deplete the world’s supply of fun-sized candy.
In the rush to come up with a Halloween costume, some of us get left behind and try to reuse ideas from years past. I’m here to throw out a couple of last-minute Halloween costume ideas so you don’t get stuck explaining why you are the Old Spice Guy for the third year in a row.
Locked-Out NBA Player
Who doesn’t want to get in on the slam-dunking fun of labor negotiations? This is my personal choice and one of the simplest costumes imaginable. All you need to do is wear a suit and tie and maybe carry a briefcase. Then walk around with a sad look on your face and maybe a deflated basketball to really drive your point home.
Your Shopping Area
Instead of merely representing for your city or town, why not show off the most hyperlocal and specific area possible? Represent your WhereYouShop route with an easy-to-make costume of the map that defines your shopping area. Who knows, you might even find a great deal along the way!
Whatever you decide to dress up as (even if it’s the Old Spice Guy), make sure to have a fun and safe Halloween weekend!
