Different is good, especially in a crowded room. That’s why WhereYouShop set out to come up with a creative name for our deal vouchers that could set us apart from the pack and maybe even give us some branding power.
Our one rule was that the voucher name must not end in “-on.” We figured we could do better than that, I mean, come “-on.” We came up with a few contenders and more than a few pretenders in our effort to name our vouchers. Here are some of the highlights:
This was probably our strongest contender. Maybe not quite catchy enough, and probably a little too close to the word “roach.”
Total pretender. This is a blatant violation of our one and only rule. We play by our own rules here at WhereYouShop.
This was another real candidate. This one was denied because it sounds too much like a bad game show from the 90s.
In the end, we decided to keep our WhereYouShop voucher named exactly that: The WhereYouShop Voucher. After all, a simple name fits with our straightforward approach to the deal game. Our write-ups focus on what’s actually being sold instead of convoluted metaphors. We’re all about the deals here, so call them whatever you like…as long you don’t call them “Voucher-ons.”
